Volunteers and members of the Randolph County Democratic party are invited to attend this year’s holiday dinner. This is a pot luck style meal and we ask that you bring your favorite dishes, including desserts! This will be a time to reflect and look forward to the future as we approach one of the most exciting election years in decades! We will have door prizes and loads of entertainment.

The 2015 Veterans Day Parade will be held in Asheboro on Wednesday, November 11 (Veterans Day) from 4 pm to 6 pm. The Randolph County Democratic Party will have an entry in the parade again this year. We are going to decorate Elworth Cheek’s pretty blue pickup truck with banners and flags and Democratic veterans are asked to ride with Elworth in the parade. Afterwards, attendees are invited to Democratic Party Headquarters for a light meal and a showing of the movie, “Tuskegee Airmen”.
If you are a veteran who can ride in the parade, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and let us know so that we can estimate how many people will be on the truck.

On Monday, October 26th, 2015 at St. Luke UMC, 169 Burns St. Asheboro, NC there will be a meet and greet for municipal candidates currently running for election. This is a non-partisan event and all are welcome.
CNN is broadcasting the first Democratic Presidential Primary Debate this coming Tuesday, October 13. Coverage runs from 8 pm until 11 pm, with the actual debate starting at 9 pm.
Come to Democratic Headquarters at 118 North Church Street in Asheboro and watch the debate among friends. Doors will be open by 8 pm. Feel free to bring some snack food to share. We will also have free ice cream! All are welcome, so tell a neighbor and bring a friend.
Don’t forget that we also host a weekly Lunch discussion on topics of local interest every Tuesday. This coming Tuesday’s topic is “Randolph County Ballot Issues.” Bring your lunch and enjoy food and discussion with your fellow Democrats. Lunch begins at noon on Tuesday. And remember, we have free ice cream!
The 2015 Asheboro Fall Festival has been cancelled due to the impending severe weather. Please stay safe this weekend!
The Randolph County Democratic Party will be hosting a booth at the Fall Festival, October 3rd and 4th. It will be located on Fayetteville St., in front of Wells Fargo Bank. Volunteers will be selling T-shirts and bumper stickers so you can show your support for your local Democratic party. Volunteers will be registering new voters, so if you know someone who needs or wants to register, drop by for a visit.
Also, the Randolph County Democratic Women will be hosting their famous Bake Sale at their booth in front of The Coffee Exchange on Sunset Ave. There will be an assortment of baked goods including but not limited to our Randolph Famous Persimmon Pudding and this year we will have baked yeast breads! Remember, food is always better when baked with love and Democratic ideals!
