Calls to Action

ACA Repeal (Again!)

A new attempt to repeal the Affordable Care Act is in the works. Senators Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and Bill Cassidy (R-LA) plan to offer up legislation to, once again, try and repeal the ACA because they absolutely cannot let Barack Obama own the legacy of getting millions more people covered by health insurance.

Call you Senators, Richard Burr and Thom Tillis

SCRIPT: I am calling from ________, NC to let the Senator know that I expect him to work to strengthen the Affordable Care Act, not repeal it. Any legislation that comes up which would take insurance away from his constituents should be a non-starter. We expect the Senator to work for the interests of the people of NC, not the interests of lobbyists, partisan organizations or caucuses nor wealthy campaign donors.

Rep. Walker Votes Against Hurricane Relief

Sixth District Representative Mark Walker was among seven NC Reps who voted against hurricane relief funding.

Rep. Mark Walker, chairman of the conservative Republican Study Committee, sent a letter to House Speaker Paul Ryan with a list of 19 possible conservative add-ons to make the legislation more palatable for members of his caucus. Walker, from Greensboro, wanted to see some included in the bill. None were. Walker voted no.

It’s always amusing when Republicans complain about bills with riders.

Call Mark Walker and let him know you’re disappointed that he would put party politics above the people of his district.
