The location is the Lee County Court House at 1400 S. Horner Blvd., Sanford, NC 27330.

Registration is at 8:30 AM. We’ll plan to call the meeting to order at 9:30 AM.

The focus of the convention will be our 2014 North Carolina Democratic Party candidates for public office.

This is not a year for electing national convention delegates or district officers. However, pursuant to the NC Democratic Party Plan of Organization, we will need to elect one member of the State Convention’s Committee on Credentials & Appeals, elect one member of the State Party’s Council of Review, and nominate one member to serve on the State Party’s Resolutions & Platforms Committee.

We will also be required to consider any approved resolutions from county conventions that were transmitted to the district chair within the five (5) day period following the county conventions.

If you have individuals in your county who you believe are willing to serve on these committees, please encourage them to attend the convention and to run for these offices.
