Did you try to vote in Archdale yesterday?

The “Trump Train” rolled into Archdale yesterday afternoon loaded with some of his most objectionable surrogates. Their bus rolled specifically into the Early Voting site at the Community Services Building, blocking up parking and just generally making a mess of an already congested polling place. People came just to see the spectacle, many of them from outside our county, on the first day of early voting. They could have held the rally elsewhere, then encouraged attendees to go vote, but in true Trump fashion, they had to make themselves the center of attention at the expense of voters just trying to do their civic duty.

If you tried to vote in Archdale yesterday between 3:00 and 5:00pm, and were concerned about a rally being held at a polling site, or if you had planned to vote but decided to postpone or go to another site, or if you felt afraid of or intimidated by the MAGA rally taking place, please let me know by sending us an email at randolphdem@gmail.com.

Our local Board of Elections strives to make Early Voting as quick, easy, and painless as possible. When the leaders of the local Republican Party decided to hold a full-on rally at this polling place, they interfered with people’s ability to even get to the door. To me, that is the height of selfishness and pretty dang unAmerican.
