Now is the time for all volunteers to step forward and pitch in. If you’re looking at this email and thinking that someone else will take care of this, ask yourself, “can I afford to leave this up to chance?”  Let me just go ahead and tell you that no, you can’t afford to leave this up to chance. The world is run by the people who show up. If we want to run this thing, we have to show up.

We are holding a canvass or an event every weekend until Election Day, including the Monday before Election Day and the day of. We need all hands on deck. We need canvassers, phone bankers, HQ staffers, and postcard writers. Everyone is good at something. We can absolutely use your skills, whatever they may be.

Below are the upcoming events that you can sign up to help with. I encourage you to sign up, take any trainings provided in the details, and come out to help us get Democrats elected up and down the ballot.

Sign up here for a canvassing shift or two.  We will be using the MiniVAN app on our phones to canvass, rather than using paper printouts. There are links in the above sign up link to join online training sessions plus a short video about using MiniVAN to canvass. You can download the  app in the Apple Store or on Google Play.

The Asheboro Fall Festival is coming up on Saturday, October 5, from 9am-6pm. We will be having our usual Voter Registration and Candidate Info Booth in front of our Headquarters at 114 Sunset Ave. Sign up for a shift handing out info and registering people to vote.
