Thom Tillis

In case you haven’t heard, Thom Tillis has been claiming that he has been getting so many phone calls—upwards of 40,000 a day apparently—that he hasn’t been able to hear from his constituents. I’m not sure who he thinks we are, but I think that we need to make absolutely sure that he is hearing from his constituents. Keep lighting up those phones. Come to think of it, this could be a terrific new jobs program. Maybe Tillis should hire some more staffers just to take our calls.

Steve Mnuchin nomination:

I am a constituent concerned about President Trump’s nomination of Steve Mnuchin to the position of Secretary of the Treasury. Mnuchin has made extensive use of tax havens and has declined to say whether he would allow such loopholes to persist. He also misled thousands of homeowners during the mortgage crisis when he was the head of OneWest bank. For these reasons, I ask that Senator ____________ vote against Mr. Mnuchin.

State politics:
NC Senate Bill 25 (Repeal HB2):

The NCAA is going to take basketball away for six years if HB 2 isn’t repealed. Even UNC basketball coach called HB 2 that “stupid law” in a post-game interview. It might be the perfect time to do a really big push on getting a full repeal of HB2.

I am a constituent calling to ask Sen./Rep. ___________________ to support Senate Bill 25, which would fully repeal HB2. Full repeal is the only solution that will protect the economic interests of North Carolina citizens. Repeal will ensure that businesses will no longer boycott our state, costing us millions of dollars and thousands of jobs. Please tell Sen./Rep. ____________ to support Senate Bill 25.
