Yesterday the House voted along party lines to keep Donald Trump’s taxes a secret. Please contact Mark Walker and let him know that this is unacceptable. We need to see those tax returns. Trump is not special, though he may think he is. He should show the citizens of this country where his wealth comes from, how he uses it and whether he is in the pocket of foreign interests.

Right now, North Carolina law requires immediate removal of any student displaying concussion symptoms during a game. House Bill 116, should it pass, will give parents the power to decide when their concussed child can resume playing. It is perhaps worth noting that most parents are not qualified medical professionals.

DIRECT ACTION:

HELP PROGRESS NC OPPOSE HB2

We are recruiting people to volunteer for a patch-through call phone bank on Monday, 2/27 from 5:30pm to 8pm here at the office in Raleigh. The deadline to repeal HB2 in time to keep the NCAA from blackballing NC for six years is fast approaching.

The general drill is to call voters in some very targeted House districts, and when they answer, ask if we can patch them through to their NC House member who is a wavering soul on HB2. We want them to fully repeal the law. I think it will be a very fun group activity that is very tangible and helpful to get a bad law removed.
