SUNDAY CALL TO ACTION: What would Jesus do? edition

By now you’ve probably heard about the chaos created at airports around the country because of
Trump’s executive order to ban people from certain arbitrary countries in the Middle East from entering the US; even ones with valid visas who have been living and working here for many years.

If  you want to attempt to contact the White House, you may try the following numbers. It has been widely circulated that the comments line at the White House has been disconnected, so that may not bear fruit. They would like for you to email, but that is one of the surest and easiest ways to have your comments ignored.

If you’d like to try a different tactic, Creative Majority PAC has created a website you can use to call and leave a message for the President at one of his businesses. Here is a useful script for your call to your Congresspersons:

Hi, my name is _______ and I’m a constituent of Representative _______/ Senator _________. I’m calling because I’m concerned about President Donald Trump’s executive order restricting immigration from Muslim majority countries and ending the Syrian refugee resettlement program. This executive order goes against our shared American values of religious tolerance, diversity, and nondiscrimination. I’m calling to demand that Rep. _________ / Senator ___________ publicly oppose Trump’s decision to wantonly discriminate via this executive order. Please advise what position and actions the Rep/Sen is taking with regard to this matter, as I meet regularly with active voters and would like to relay his position to them.
