THURSDAY CALLS TO ACTION: Focus on Our State Today

The NCGA is back and pushing out some lovely bills for us to call about

NC House Bill 13
I am a constituent from zip code ____________ . I am calling to tell Se./Rep. _______________ to vote against House Bill 13 increasing class sizes of in elementary schools. This bill would decrease the quality of education for every child in public school here in North Carolina and I urge Sen/Rep to vote no on HB 13. Thank you so much for your time,

NC House Bill 69:
I am a constituent from zip code ____________ . I am calling to tell Se./Rep. _______________ to vote against House Bill 69, which would make it legal for people to carry a concealed handgun in North Carolina without a permit. This is an incredibly dangerous bill that would make our public spaces less safe and would allow people without training to have the ability to carry a handgun. Please urge Sen./Rep. ________________ to vote against HB 69. Thank you so much for your time.

Please continue to call asking for a full repeal of HB2

I am a constituent in zip code _________ . I am completely opposed to a compromise on HB2, this bill has nothing in it that should be kept and I would like a full repeal. Thank you so much for your time, and please pass my concerns on to ________. Thank you so much for your time.

Rep. Mark Walker was mentioned in a recent Politico article. He said, in regards to the volume of calls and visits to the offices of our legislators, that “it is toxic out there right now. Even some of the guys who have been around here a lot longer than I have, have never seen it to this level.”

He later added: “For those of us who have children in grade school and that kind of thing, there’s a factor in all of this, saying: How far will the progressive movement go to try to intimidate us?”

Personally, I am offended that he would imply that we would want to hurt children to get our message across. If you’re as incensed as I am about it, maybe give him a call, too.

Republicans fear for their safety as Obamacare protests grow

END GERRYMANDERING
The wonderful people who are fighting gerrymandering in the courts here in NC need our help. They are working Pro Bono against the state that is backed with tax payer money! While they are doing this work for free there are plenty of other costs they need to keep up with. Please consider donating to this legal team today.
