MONDAY 2/13/17 CALLS TO ACTION: Constituents, like facts, are stubborn things.

Thank you to everyone who turned out for the HKonJ Moral March Saturday morning. Estimates are that about 80,000 people came for the march. It is truly heartening and inspiring to see so many people from so many diverse backgrounds gather together like this to raise their voices. We’re here and we’re not going away, so get used to it!

***We’ve been hearing that it is a good idea to name your county of residence when you call your Congresspeople. It is much easier for them to quickly identify you as a constituent by county than by ZIP code. It never hurts to include City/Town, County and ZIP when calling.

 TOWN HALLS

Continue to keep the pressure on your Congresspeople to hold town halls, where their constituents may interact and question their elected officials in public.

INVESTIGATE MICHAEL FLYNN

Hello, I am a constituent from ____________ and I am calling to urge Sen./Rep. _____________ to initiate an investigation into the actions of National Security Advisor Michael Flynn. There is significant evidence that Flynn talked with the Russian government about removing sanctions before Trump took office. These actions are inappropriate at best and illegal at worst, and we need an independent investigation to determine exactly what happened. Please urge Sen./Rep. _________________ to call for investigations into Michael Flynn’s involvement with the Russian government.

As Flynn falls under growing pressure over Russia contacts, Trump remains silent
